JOB SUMMARYThe Manager, Fixed Asset Accounting, is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Fixed Asset and Projects accounting team.
A successful candidate will have the experience and skills to successfully deliver the responsibilities and oversight of the Fixed Asset function and lease accounting processes. Candidate should also be detail oriented, collaborative with operational stakeholders, adaptable and focused on continuous improvement.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- At least 5 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study required
- Proficient with Fixed Assets & Projects in ERP
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask and meet multiple project deadlines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications- Education, Skills & Experience:- Master's degree in Accounting preferred
- CPA designation preferred
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Manage, lead, develop and coach the Fixed Assets team to ensure the Company has strong talent and professionals that can grow into future leaders.
- Responsible for accurate and timely accounting and reporting of the Company's Fixed Assets, Projects, Leases and related areas in conformance with US GAAP.
- Ensure all fixed asset additions have meaningful descriptions, tags, life attributes and proper type classification to diverse stakeholder groups.
- Responsible for the preparation and validation of monthly roll-forwards, fixed asset addition and disposal reports and various other monthly and quarterly ad-hoc reports.
- Supervise the timely preparation of fixed asset related account reconciliations and maintain uniform standards across teams with respect to reconciliation methods and supporting documentation.
- Adhere to the Company's Capitalization Policies and access and apply relevant professional frameworks, including accounting standards and guidance to make informed decisions.
- Demonstrate effective collaboration and relationships with cross functional stakeholders including operations personnel, capital projects, project management, IT, tax, SEC technical accounting team, shared services team etc.
- Drive continuous improvement aimed at reducing cycle time and increasing quality of the fixed asset close and other key processes by identifying and implementing new or modifying existing processes.
- Efficiently facilitate Internal & External Audit Requests, including SOX controls and walkthroughs.
