Job DescriptionHIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE- Perform duties specified by respective hospitals to maintain admitting privileges and credentialing to provide diagnosis/treatment of clinical disease in patients who require hospitalization.
- May participate in call rotation on a schedule that may fluctuate, dependent upon staffing.
- Attend staff/provider meetings, maintaining a level of involvement with any committees as needed to ensure quality care for patients.
- Participate in peer review, performance measurement/improvement data, and other activities to evaluate/advance quality improvement measures.
- Patient encounter expectations are approximately 20 patients per day
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners/physician assistants as appropriate.
- Assist in the educational training of Medical Students and/or Residents.
- Participate in Continuing Medical Education, including Life Support Training, etc.
- Sustain the health necessary to perform their duties and maintain current Immunizations/PPD Status.
- Notify CCHS about any problems that occur regarding drugs, felonies, discipline, loss of license, privileges, or other serious issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer or Medical Director.
QualificationsMD or DO. Residency-trained. BC required. Family Medicine-centric. Clinicians with experience in underserved populations, urban and/or poverty medicine, public health, and global health are strongly preferred. Comfort with affirming a broad statement of faith. No Visa candidates at this time.
