Enrich the lives of older adults through community, choice, and continuing care in the Campaign Manager role. The Major Gifts Officer & Campaign Manager advances the major gifts and planned giving development efforts of Wesley Community Foundation for assigned communities by implementing the fundraising cycle steps of identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. This role serves as a primary contact in representing Wesley and the Foundation to the public. This position manages a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors to raise both outright and deferred gifts, with a major focus on capital campaign contributions and benevolence/greatest need funding. This role works closely with the Executive Director to strategically enhance Wesley's relationships with donors; and is responsible for achieving annual fundraising targets. You will provide continuing care through these responsibilities
Essential functions of this position include the following.
• Manage portfolio of 100+ prospects and donors. Portfolio will focus on individuals, primarily residents and families of residents. Foundations and businesses with capacity and propensity to make major gifts may also be included.
• Create and implement strategies to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward major donors and prospects using 'moves management' methodology and tools.
• Effectively manage portfolio through extensive one-on-one contact, tailored communications, campaign committee assistance, prospect research, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities.
• Create, present and close major gift, planned gift and blended gift proposals.
• Work collaboratively with Executive Director and Director of Campaigns to coordinate campaign strategies with major and planned giving programs.
• Support Executive Director and executive leadership in the solicitation of major gifts.
• Actively recruit and manage volunteer campaign committee (resident and possibly non-resident), from member selection and training to prospect identification, cultivation and solicitation while maintaining ultimate responsibility for portfolio.
• Effectively coordinate with other individuals and departments at Wesley to help meet fundraising goals.
• Represent the Foundation and Wesley at special events and speaking opportunities as directed; participate in professional and civic organizations as approved.
• Assist in promotion and implementation of donor recognition and stewardship activities.
• Code and track donor and prospect meaningful activity and gifts using 'moves management' practices, Raiser's Edge NXT, Excel, and other Foundation systems.
• Complete all required weekly and monthly campaign reports as directed, including quarterly input for Board Report; submit accurate and prompt monthly expense reports.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Our requirements and qualifications for success
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum three years of development experience with demonstrated success in major giving - focusing on individual gift solicitations; volunteer committee management experience a plus.
• Knowledge of PC operations and standard Microsoft Office software packages; experience with or ability to learn Raiser's Edge NXT contact management software.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, motivate, participate and collaborate in a team-oriented setting.
• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and able to balance priorities.
• Ability to multitask and complete competing priorities in a set timeframe.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships and productive interaction with all staff and constituency groups.

• Ability to communicate (hear, speak, read and write) in the English language
• Ability and willingness to travel locally to Wesley communities (King and Pierce County).
• Driving is an essential function and/or a legitimate business purpose of this position; therefore, a valid driver's license is required as a condition of employment.

• Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand points being made, asking questions as appropriate
• Near and far vision acuity; ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend and twist for prolonged periods or intermittently throughout shift
• Position requires repetitive motion such as working on computer terminal.
Salary Range: $80,318.58 to $115,582.48 per year
