Full Job Description
We are looking for a permanent full-time Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Barrie, ON. If you're passionate about innovation, collaboration, and making an impact, this is your opportunity to thrive.

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri: 6:30am - 3:00pm (40 hours/week)

Starting Salary: $81,300 - $101,600 CAD annually (to be determined based on experience and qualifications)

Your Impact

This is an exciting opportunity for a maintenance leader who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, developing people, and making a meaningful impact on plant performance. You'll work closely with Production, Quality, and HSE teams to improve equipment reliability, enhance safety, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

What You'll Do

1. Ensure Equipment Reliability and Minimize Downtime
  • Oversee the maintenance of all machinery and systems to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures to maximize production uptime and operational efficiency

2. Lead and Develop the Maintenance Team
  • Supervise, train, coach, and mentor Maintenance Mechanics.
  • Assign work, monitor performance, and support employee development.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, succession planning, and talent retention initiatives.

3. Drive Safety, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies, including permit systems and safe work practices.
  • Conduct incident investigations, safety inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Lead 5S initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts that enhance efficiency, quality, and workplace safety.


What You'll Bring

Required:
  • College diploma, university degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Electrician License (309A, 442A, or Red Seal), Millwright License (433A or Red Seal), or equivalent industrial maintenance qualification.
  • Experience leading maintenance teams within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience using maintenance management systems (CMMS) and maintenance planning tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.


Preferred:
  • Experience in plastics, PVC, extrusion, injection molding, packaging, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working within ISO or quality management systems.
