Full Job Description
Job Purpose:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for executing planned, unplanned, preventive, and predictive maintenance in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Under the direction of the Reliability and Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of multi-craft maintenance technicians with a focus on safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Supervise staff of (12) maintenance technicians in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Implement, and execute planned, preventive maintenance programs and ensure effectiveness of maintenance activities.
  • Establish clear performance standards for all maintenance technicians and activities.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for maintenance/reliability.
  • Improve management and maintenance of building utilities, infrastructure, and grounds.
  • Work closely with Operations Management to achieve stated goals for Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost.
  • Ensure all maintenance, and repair activities are performed in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements.
  • Provide/Deliver training programs focused on safety, technology, and skill development.
  • Control expenses to established budget guidelines.
  • Drive CMMS utilization.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

Experience/Requirements/Preferences:
  • A.S degree in engineering/technology discipline preferred
  • At least 7 years' experience required.
  • Previous Supervisory experience (>2 years).
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance management in a multi-shift manufacturing facility.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance of physical plant equipment (Boilers, Compressors, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Heat Exchangers, HVAC).
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing CMMS systems required, MaintainX preferred
  • Experience in Web Converting, Paper/Pulp Converting, or similar high speed, rotating equipment environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NEC preferred.
  • Must be capable of working flexible hours to accommodate 24/7 manufacturing operation, including weekends, and on-call requirements.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, walk, and stand. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and infrequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will have to bend, stoop, and crouch repeatedly.

Safety Requirements
  • Physically able to pass spirometry exam for test fitting of respiratory equipment.
  • Ability to wear required PPE (including safety glasses, gloves (nitrile, canvas, etc.), hearing protection, ANSI-approved footwear, and others as required.) in any manufacturing area.
  • Ability to wear required PPE if in any manufacturing area.


The hiring range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
