Pay Range: $101,050.00 – $134,743.32

Position Summary 

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading all maintenance activities for stationary and mobile heavy equipment at the Cadomin Quarry. This senior role provides leadership to maintenance teams, ensures regulatory compliance, supports production goals, and drives equipment reliability during both surface and underground transition phases. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Maintenance Leadership: Lead and supervise all maintenance activities for stationary and mobile heavy equipment, ensuring optimal availability and effective oversight of mechanics and contractors.  

  • Planning & Optimization: Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs while tracking key operational KPIs to support production efficiency and quality requirements.  

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with OH&S, environmental standards, and workplace policies; investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive measures.  

  • Team Development & Leadership: Provide leadership, training, and direction to a multiskilled workforce, fostering a culture of safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.  

  • Operational Integration: Collaborate with the Quarry Manager to align maintenance with production goals, rail logistics, and infrastructure needs, supporting cost efficient operations.  

 

Qualifications 

  • Previous supervisory experience in quarry, mining, or heavy industrial maintenance—preferably in a unionized environment. 

  • Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and mining regulations. 

  • Proven ability to supervise heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues. 

  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and computer-based maintenance systems. 

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and critical-thinking skills. 

Work Environment 

  • Primarily quarry-based with exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and physical demands. PPE is required. 

  • Includes work in underground environments as the quarry transitions to underground operations.
