What You'll Do:The Manager, Maintenance is responsible for optimizing maintenance planning and execution across the department. This includes overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities; developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs; and leading the planning and execution of outages, turnarounds, and other non-routine maintenance work. The role is also accountable for driving asset reliability, maximizing workforce productivity, and ensuring maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and within approved budgets.
What you will do:- Actively supports and promotes the behavioral safety process and all the site's SHE goals. Ensures, supports, and drives continuous improvement with Process Safety Management (PSM) such as MOC's, PSSR's, PHA's, Procedure reviews, etc.
- Oversee the planning and execution of all turnarounds and outages with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and cost
- Model our core value of safety by leading and enabling a culture in which you and your team are actively contributing to a safe work environment
- Directs the administration of maintenance procedures and practices, including safety and emergency procedures related to job planning and execution
- Manages performance within the Maintenance team by ensuring the preparation of SMART performance goals, job descriptions and conducts employee performance reviews
- Direct the development and implementation of preventive maintenance, maintenance engineering, spending control and other programs required to minimize maintenance costs while improving equipment reliability
- Ensures the ongoing training and development of the Maintenance Supervisors, Engineers, and Technicians, in accordance with the department's Certification Program to identify and close gaps
- Work collaboratively with the Operations and Technical managers to prioritize work based on risk while managing resources and maintenance metrics
- Reviews and analyzes plant reliability data and develops plans with Operations and Technical personnel to improve plant reliability
- Ensures that the facility is operating in compliance with the applicable regulatory body and company requirements
- Works with the Technical Department on longer term (capital projects) solutions to reliability problems
- Develops, implements, and maintains an efficient data gathering and reporting system to provide management with key performance indicators on plant maintenance
- Accountable for developing and managing the annual maintenance budget including outages, turnarounds and non-routine items and ensures budget compliance
- Recommends capital (and/or expense) projects to improve safety, production, and/or prolong equipment life
- Other duties as required
What You'll Bring:- Bachelor degree required, Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years' experience in plant maintenance
- Minimum 5 years' experience at a managerial level preferred in a related industry
- Experience with planning and executing a Turnaround is preferred
