As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the operation, construction, maintenance, and repair of building systems and facility infrastructure. This role will provide leadership to a team of maintenance professionals while ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facility equipment and systems. The Maintenance Manager will solve complex technical issues, drive preventative maintenance programs, and support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize facility performance.
What You Will Do:
• Plan, organize, and supervise facility maintenance, construction, repair, and operational activities.
• Lead, coach, develop, and support a team of non-Supply Chain maintenance employees.
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex facility and equipment issues with minimal supervision.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Monitor and maintain building automation systems, refrigerant compressors, air compressors, electrical motors, fuel oil systems, steam and condensate systems, HVAC systems, gas distribution systems, sanitary sewer systems, electrical power distribution systems, and related auxiliary equipment.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers to support facility projects and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, and resource allocation to support operational objectives.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance reliability, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
• Support facility capital projects, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to address facility-related needs and priorities.
Position Details (Location & Work Schedule):
• Location: Naperville, IL
• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
• Travel: Less than 10%
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of facilities maintenance and operations experience.
• 4+ years of experience leading or supervising maintenance teams.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and maintaining complex facility systems and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance practices, and facility operations.
• Ability to effectively lead teams, prioritize work, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and standard business software.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or large commercial facility environments.
• Knowledge of building automation systems and energy management systems.
• Experience managing contractors and external service providers.
• Professional certifications related to facilities management, maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or building operations.
• Experience leading continuous improvement or reliability initiatives.
• Working knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations.
Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The base salary range for this position is $83,600.00 - $125,300.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
