Job Summary:As a critical early member of the Silicon Valley AI Rack NPI Center, the Maintenance Engineer will act as a versatile, "all-rounder" technical expert responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all production and testing equipment. Reporting to the ME Manager, this role supports the setup of advanced L11 server rack assembly lines. The ideal candidate will seamlessly handle a wide variety of equipment, ranging from mechanical assembly tools and heavy-lifting hoists to specialized liquid cooling (DLC) test systems and coolant distribution units (CDU). This role is vital in minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring smooth operations during the critical NPI ramp-up phase.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Comprehensive Maintenance & Rapid Repair: Install, maintain, and rapidly troubleshoot production and automation equipment, performing root cause analysis (RCA) for mechanical, electrical, or software failures.
- Liquid Cooling (DLC) & Assembly Systems: Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot advanced liquid cooling test equipment (e.g., CDUs, leak testers) and heavy-duty assembly line infrastructure for large-scale AI racks.
- Preventative Maintenance (PM) Programs: Develop and implement robust PM schedules and standard operating procedures to maximize equipment uptime and lifespan.
- Spare Parts & Vendor Management: Establish a spare parts inventory system from scratch and coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs, warranty claims, and annual calibrations.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all equipment and operations, especially heavy-lifting mechanisms and high-pressure fluid systems, strictly adhere to OSHA safety guidelines.
Education:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related field required.
- Extensive hands-on experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
Experience:- Industry Experience: 4 - 7 years of progressive experience in equipment maintenance, automation engineering, or facilities engineering within a manufacturing environment (server, semiconductor, or high-tech industries highly preferred).
- Cross-Functional Technical Skills: An "all-rounder" skill set with strong troubleshooting abilities across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, plus a basic understanding of PLC programming and control systems.
- Specialized Knowledge & NPI Adaptability: Familiarity with liquid cooling infrastructure and fluid dynamics, combined with a proactive mindset and adaptability in startup, NPI, or fast-paced ramp-up environments.
