Low Voltage Project Manager / EstimatorLocation: Midland, TX

Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Low Voltage Project Manager / Estimator to oversee the planning, estimation, and execution of low voltage systems projects. This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, while also developing accurate and competitive cost estimates. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of low voltage systems and a proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and client relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Preconstruction- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for low voltage systems including structured cabling, security, access control, AV, and fire alarm
- Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop scope and pricing
- Perform takeoffs and quantify materials, labor, and equipment
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives
- Participate in bid reviews and proposal presentations
Project Management- Manage multiple low-voltage projects from kickoff through completion
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Coordinate with clients, general contractors, engineers, and internal teams
- Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractors
- Track project progress, costs, and profitability
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Handle change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
- Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates
Technical & Field Oversight- Provide technical guidance on system design and installation
- Support field teams to ensure proper installation and code compliance
- Conduct site visits and inspections as needed
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies
Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in low voltage systems (structured cabling, security, AV, or similar)
- 3+ years of project management and/or estimating experience
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and codes
- Experience with estimating software and project management tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Accubid, or similar)
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in commercial construction or data center environments
- Knowledge of BICSI standards or similar certifications
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training
- NICET certification (for fire alarm, if applicable)
