Responsibilities

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the shipping, receiving, and logistics functions to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. The role requires close collaboration with Manufacturing Operations, Quality Assurance, Sales, and Planning to optimize the flow of materials and products while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency. This role will also manage the warehouse team, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises an effective team; includes planning and holding meetings, preparing and conducting performance appraisals as appropriate, managing staffing levels (including vacations, overtime, and leaves of absences), assisting with career development (motivates, coaches, and trains to acquire maximum quality, productivity, morale, and cooperation), approving time and attendance, and prioritizing and making work assignments.
  • Manage and lead the shipping, receiving, inventory, and material-flow throughout the department and coordinate with operations regarding material releases for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (management, operations engineering, quality and HR) on business goals, timelines and outcomes and schedule/delegate tasks to ensure OTD and quality processing of products for the business.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Monitor and maintains inventories level to ensure the production needs are met.
  • Responds to emergencies. Assists in troubleshooting production problems. Investigates and analyzes. Initiates or recommends actions to correct deviations and variables affecting schedules, costs, quality, and other factors.
  • Performs audits for safety compliance; facilitates the 6S audit program.
  • Assists with budget and goal setting of the operation.
  • Complies with all company and EHS rules required for the work environment.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school displume or GED from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a logistics and/or manufacturing operations role.
  • This job role requires proficiency in English, both verbal and written, that is sufficient to understand and effectively follow written safety procedures, company policies, work instructions, operations manuals, and more in a manufacturing environment.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience supervising in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior leadership experience in logistics, shipping, and receiving processes.
  • Experience with TPM, Synchronous Mfg., and Kaizen Concepts.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, have good team building skills, excellent people skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, technically oriented.
  • Must be energetic and a self-starter, able to promote and implement change, have good PC skills, good telephone skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to promote a continuous improvement atmosphere.
