Position Summary

This Logistics SME will lead Concept and Wargaming tasks and will work on-site at the Pentagon. This individual will assist LPOV in the development of logistics concepts integration of wargaming efforts for LPOV in coordination with Combat Development and Integration, Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory, the OPNAV N-4, Joint Staff J-4, and other USMC Directorates as needed.

Location: Pentagon, Washington, D.C

Clearance: An active Level TS/SCI clearance is required.
Estimated Start Date: 13 September 2026

Desired Experience and Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Eight (8+) years of experience supporting concept and wargaming analysis and integration.
  • Experience developing logistics strategies, concepts, and wargaming plans at a Department of Defense Service Level Headquarters, combat development organization, or Joint wargaming organization.
  • Experience coordinating and leading teams to implement concepts and wargaming plans and producing strategy products.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior leadership (to include flag officers or senior civilian leadership) in developing strategic initiatives.
  • Experience supporting USMC modernization or Force Development/Design efforts with CD&I.
  • Experience with USMC PBBEA, Force Development System, and Marine Corps Capabilities Based Assessment processes.
  • Experience supporting the lifecycle of Marine Corps wargames, studies and analysis, or experimentation.
  • Experience supporting logistics integration with OPNAV N4, USCG, DCMS, and Joint Staff.
  • Experience scheduling, preparation of papers, briefings, and other documents required for logistics advisory efforts.
  • Experience conducting analyses of new and emerging DoD, Service, and Joint Strategies, Concepts, and Wargame reports.
  • Experience developing and reviewing tasks in Service-level headquarters task management systems (e.g., ETMS2 or equivalent). to include integrating multiple inputs and consolidating responses (up to 3-star level tasks).
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully execute strategic plans, and produce creative, high-quality information papers and briefs.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging Marine Corps logistics issues and initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, draft and coordinate staffing for logistics concepts, working in close coordination with the Joint Staff, OPNAV, and CD&I (MCWL and LCEID).
  • Support Service, Naval, and Joint wargames with analysis and senior SME participation when required.
  • Provide, as directed, SME expertise for PPBEA and Marine Corps Capabilities Based Assessment Actions. This includes support to the Campaign of Learning/Analytic Master Plan -Marine Corps; Service strategic alignment; HQMC Integrated Planning/Operational Planning Teams; or other forums as directed.
  • Provide support as required in development or updates of naval logistics concepts and doctrine and concepts of employment in coordination with CD&I.
  • Support the planning, preparation, development, publication, implementation, and assessment of Marine Corps logistics reference documents, plans, strategies, and assessments.
  • Support wargame development and integration to ensure logistics equities are addressed and DC I&L priorities are integrated.
  • Support and participate in analytic or assessment events at the Office of the Secretary of War, Department of Navy, Joint, and USMC levels.
  • Support OSW, Joint, and Service assessments for alignment and development.
  • Support the integration of future logistics capabilities into Joint and DoW planning events, to include integration with FMF.
  • Support the development and assessment of concept integration/future planning into the development of analytic concepts of operation, Operational/Concept Plans (OPLAN/CONPLANs), or other operational efforts as directed.
