Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced Joint Planning skills to logistics, deployment, mobility, and distribution planning for COCOM OPLANS and CONPLANS.
  • Serve as a planner in a collaborative team, conducting Mission Analysis and developing Course of Action briefings and analyses.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders regarding military strategic directives and USTRANSCOM processes.
  • Retrieve and compile data from various sources into standardized formats for analytic studies and decision-support products.
  • Produce planning outputs in MS Excel, PDF, PowerPoint, and MS Word, including decision packages for military senior leaders.
  • Prepare briefing slides, Program Objectives, Action and Milestones, and Synchronization Matrices.
  • Utilize a balance of functional and writing skills to contribute to team efforts.

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced Logistics Management Analyst for its' Strategic Plans, Policy and Logistics Directorate at USTRANSCOM with a mission to provide analysis and Combatant Command Plan development support to improve the nation's ability to move and sustain forces throughout the globe.

 

Location: On-Site at Scott AFB, IL

 

In this role, you will:

  • Apply mastery level skill in Joint Planning related to the application of adaptive/deliberate planning procedures and techniques to logistics, deployment, mobility and distribution planning in support of COCOM OPLANS and CONPLANS.
  • Serve as a planner in a small cell of planners and/or analysts responsible for Mission Analysis, Course of Action Development briefings, draft Course of Action Analysis, and Wargaming products.
  • Requires familiarity with military strategic directives and USTRANSCOM processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of enterprise stakeholders.
  • Must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to retrieve data from a broad range of sources, compile the data into standardized formats with sufficient quality to conduct analytic studies, and to apply basic analytic tools and techniques to produce decision-support products.
  • Planning product output will typically be in MS Excel, PDF, PowerPoint, MS Word, or web format.
  • Examples include staff action decision packages prepared for military senior leader approval to include briefing slides, Program, Objectives, Action and Milestones, and Synchronization Matrices.
  • Need to have and employ a balance of functional and writing skills and experience.
  • Possess positive people skills for working in a team environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements are:

  • BA/BS or Masters degree from an accredited college or university with completion of MEL4 of military schooling and 15 years of task related experience.
    • Will also consider 20+ years of military operational experience (5 of which earned as E-6 or O-3 or above) in lieu of degree.
  • Operational experience includes:
    • Planning and executing combined and joint operations at the theater or component level.
    • Knowledge of combat arms, logistics, civil-military operations.
    • USTRANSCOM's area of responsibility (or functional area) and task related experience.
    • Must have functional and well-developed writing skills with a proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, familiarity with SharePoint functions and Task Management Tool.
    • Must enjoy working in a team environment with frequent customer contact and have excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated skills in solving problems, troubleshooting, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Proven experience prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.

 

Target Salary Range$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
