Job Title: Logistics and Transportation Manager
Department:Supply Chain, Distribution & Logistics
Reports to: Director, Supply Chain Logistics and Transportation
Location:Mesquite, TX. / Walnut Creek, CA
This position requires onsite presence in Mesquite, TX or Walnut Creek, CA.
Position Summary:
This position will be a part of the Supply Chain and Logistics team, primarily focused on utility-scale projects. Service quality and cost efficiency will be the drivers to meeting and exceed our customers' expectations through industry best-practices, metrics, and development of win-win relationships with internal and external customers and partners. Responsibilities include data analysis and reporting, validation of logistics costs, delivery planning, exception management and supporting Canadian Solar's Key Account customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage logistics for large utility scale projects, ensuring timelines are met, risks are identified and costs are controlled
• Work with the Planning and Manufacturing teams to align project shipment plans and potential risks
• Manage communications with manufacturing facilities for material allocations and daily operations
• Foster a positive, supportive environment within the logistics team
• Manage relationships with key logistics supplies and customers
• Analyze and input logistics cost per watt data into CRM; analyze actual costs vs. forecasted and exceptions
• Meet with customers to understand their requirements; provide best in class customer service
• Attend regular client-facing project calls, provide updates on deliveries and exceptions. Summarize actions for team members and follow up on execution
• Analyze and evaluate KPIs of current vendors to optimize process, service, and contracts
• Create & manage carrier dashboards and project update reporting for customer and internal views
• Host QBRs with logistics vendors and presents service performance metrics and scorecards
• Review and approve orders and contracts in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Review customer contracts for logistics related items; provide feedback to legal team as needed
• Liaise with internal teams on supply planning to maximize DC-bypass delivery model
• Oversee RFPs for projects, awarding business based on best cost and service criteria
• Support audits and work in partnership with Finance team on transportation cost data requests
• Leverage technology and automation to make delivery operations scalable and highly accurate
• Manage return shipment information to company warehouses
• Analyze shipment volume trends - historical and real time - forecast capacity needs to carriers
• Analyze shipment damages, implements plans of action to remedy damages manage return goods
• Additional duties and responsibilities identified to support business operations
Required Qualifications:

• Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project Plan, Visio, etc.).
• Project logistics experience preferably in renewable energy
• Minimum of 5+ years in logistics, distribution, material handling, or manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, flexibility
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high volume logistics environment.
• Bachelor's Degree or Warehousing/ Logistics Management equivalent working experience.
• SOX Compliance understanding
• RFP/purchasing/cost analysis and reporting skills
• MRP, ERP, inventory management, carrier management experience
• Ability to travel 10-15% - US HQ office in Walnut Creek, Warehouses in Mesquite TX, job sites and warehouses as needed.

The pay range for this position is $115,000 - $155,000 depending on experience and geographic location. This range represents annual base salary only, without regard to location, and does not include bonuses or incentives that pay quarterly or benefits that may apply. The pay range for this role is subject to change.
