About this role
We are looking for a Litigation Attorney with 2-4 years of experience to join Concorda's AI-native law firm as the first legal hire - someone scrappy, client-facing, and ready to own cases end-to-end across a variety of litigation matters for startup and small business clients.
What will you be doing?
Running litigation matters autonomously - from intake calls and engagement letters through discovery, depositions, and settlement
Handling a mix of defense work (e.g., nuisance suits against startups, ADA website accessibility claims) and plaintiff-side cases (e.g., employment disputes)
Leading client-facing conversations to close new matters, explain legal issues, and build trust with startup founders
Using and helping shape Concorda's AI litigation platform - providing direct product feedback and working with engineers to build better tools
Figuring things out across unfamiliar practice areas as the firm takes on diverse case types
Key Requirements
1-3 years of litigation experience, ideally at a boutique or plaintiff-side firm (not purely big law)
Barred in at least one of: California, Texas, or Florida
Strong client service skills. Comfortable leading intake calls, explaining legal strategy to non-lawyers, and closing engagements
Scrappy, action-oriented, and able to figure things out independently across different case types
Genuine interest in startups and AI. Excited to work at an early-stage company and leverage AI tools in legal practice!
