Full Job Description

This leadership role sits at the intersection of physical production, VFX and advanced production technology. The Hybrid Production Line Producer is Eyeline’s embedded production partner on select shows, focused on the specific sequences and set pieces where a hybrid approach can add the most value within a larger traditional production plan. They work alongside the show’s Line Producer and UPM, bringing specialized expertise in combining traditional production with generative, virtual production and VFX‑driven workflows.

Reporting to the VP of Global Partnerships and Development, the Hybrid Production Line Producer collaborates with cross‑functional Eyeline teams (Creative, Production, Finance, HR, Business and Legal Affairs) and with filmmakers and show leadership to manage, guide and problem‑solve throughout Eyeline’s hybrid scope on a project. The role oversees the day‑to‑day financial and logistical aspects of Eyeline’s hybrid work, including budgeting, scheduling and staffing for the sequences where hybrid workflows are being considered or used, and also ensures productive connections between traditional physical production HODs and Eyeline’s Hybrid Production HODs.

This role supports workflows for creative direction, schedules, budget, tools and deliverables across Eyeline’s hybrid scope, and helps educate stakeholders on where and when a hybrid approach is the right fit versus traditional methods.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Customize, maintain and oversee the Eyeline hybrid production schedule and microschedules from pre‑production through final delivery of Eyeline’s work, assessing and communicating schedule complexities with Eyeline teams, Studio teams, the show’s LP/UPM and external partner studios.

  • In partnership with the show’s production leadership (LP/UPM, 1st AD), develop detailed schedules for Eyeline‑supported sequences based on the script, location availability, team availability and hybrid production requirements.

  • Partner with Finance and Production Accounting to build, maintain and update Eyeline’s hybrid budget and monthly cost reports; provide risk assessment by measuring production trends against the current schedule and budget, particularly where hybrid workflows impact VFX vs. physical spend, and communicate updates and options to Studio leadership and the show’s LP/UPM.

  • Build a diverse and inclusive Eyeline hybrid team in partnership with Talent Acquisition, providing staffing projections, defining roles and developing strategies for search, outreach, interviews and negotiations.

  • Partner with Business and Legal Affairs to initiate agreements as needed for creatives, vendors and partners engaged on Eyeline’s hybrid work.

  • Partner with creative, production and technical teams to ensure Eyeline’s portion of the project’s creative, practical and pipeline goals can be executed and delivered, identifying which scenes or sequences are strong candidates for hybrid production and where traditional approaches are preferable.

  • Oversee the distribution and timelines of assignments within Eyeline’s hybrid scope and prioritize day‑to‑day operations, ensuring support staff are effectively managing logistics related to Eyeline’s work (meetings, travel, permits, materials, tests, reviews, etc.).

  • Support Eyeline and show departments with problem solving, anticipating hybrid‑related needs and concerns and providing integrated solutions.

  • Lead clear, proactive communication across Eyeline, Studio leadership, the show’s production leadership and external partner studios, including weekly progress reports on schedule, budget, risks and hybrid production impacts; take part in scouts, techvis, tests, shoots, casting, recording and reviews as needed for Eyeline’s work.

  • Facilitate an organized wrap for Eyeline’s hybrid scope, including final deliveries, completed payments and a post‑mortem focused on hybrid production learnings.

Qualifications & Abilities

  • Expert understanding of pipelines from pre‑production through post‑production, and how physical production, VFX and hybrid workflows connect.

  • Minimum 7–10 years in physical production and/or VFX production, including significant experience as a Line Producer, VFX Producer or equivalent HOD‑level role on complex, multi‑vendor shows.

  • Deep knowledge of the bidding, budgeting and scheduling process, including experience rebalancing spend between physical production, VFX and hybrid workflows in partnership with a show’s LP/UPM.

  • Excellent project management and client communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and financial trade‑offs into clear options for filmmakers and studio partners.

  • Experience in managing client relationships and expectations in a vendor/partner context.

  • Vendor management experience is a plus.

$250-$400k USD

This salary range is specific to applicants applying to our position in Los Angeles, CA. To determine your base salary, we consider your qualifications, skills, and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary outside of this range and will also be dependent on your location.
