We are looking for a
LIMS Associate to join our Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) team in support of clinical patient testing in our high-throughput CLIA lab. The LIMS Associate will be responsible for (1) Coordinating tech transfer between the clinical lab and LIMS Engineers, (2) Triaging and responding to support tickets, and closing them out where possible, (3) monitoring LIMS usage patterns, trends, and issues in the lab and suggesting improvements to LIMS developers
This role will help to build upon the strong technology and execution found at BTO. This is considered an onsite role at our Union City lab, with flexibility to work from home or at our Menlo Park site when applicable.
Responsibilities:- Meet with CLIA lab staff and LIMS Engineers to coordinate updates to existing products, or launch of new workflows
- Support lab operators in resolving LIMS issues to minimize sample turnaround time
- Triage & escalate unresolved technical issues to appropriate team members
- Monitor sample queues and follow up on unresolved issues or delays
- Observe and collect feedback in the lab of LIMS usage and identify improvement opportunities
- Assist in testing and documenting new LIMS workflow versions
- Ensure compliance to all relevant corporate and regulatory requirements
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree with Biological or Computational focus
- Hands-on laboratory bench experience, including undergraduate research projects or internships.
- Experience configuring or developing LIMS, productivity apps, or other lab tools/automations
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose advanced technical issues
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work flexibly and well under given timeframes
- Highly organized, strong written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoy a wide variety of daily tasks in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Nice-To-Haves:- Experience working in CLIA Lab, medical device, or pharma
- Experience with data analysis using Python, SQL, or Excel
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and related regulations (CFR 21 Part 11, ISO 13485, etc)

For this position, we offer a total annual compensation package of $104,322, which includes (1) a base pay range of up to $85,748 per year, (2) eligibility for a semi-annual bonus and (3) equity.
