Your Impact at SAM

The Staff Surveyor is responsible for overseeing technicians and field crews in the completion of large-scale land surveying projects. This role collaborates with Project Surveyors and other teams to execute project scope, schedule, and deliverables established by the Survey Project Manager.
  • Coordinate with Project Surveyors and project teams to execute land surveying projects according to the established scope and schedule.
  • Supervise technicians and field crews completing large-scale surveying projects.
  • Serve as a client point of contact and sign and seal plats, drawings, and other survey documents.
  • Mentor and train technicians on state surveying requirements and QA/QC procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the company's strategic goals.

What You Bring to SAM

  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently execute professional land survey tasks
  • Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large-scale survey projects
  • Strong technical skill set, including AutoCAD and MS Office
  • Professional Land Surveyor License (or ability to obtain within 6 months) required
  • Transportation experience preferred
