The OpportunityWe are looking for a certified Millwright to ensure operation of mechanical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting problems on conveyers, machinery, with use of manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, etc. The hourly wage rate for this position: $46.80.
What You'll Do- Focus on minimizing downtime through preventive maintenance and good troubleshooting techniques.
- Prepare maintenance reports by making recommendations as necessary for improvements.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending education workshops.
- Repair and replace as necessary pumps, valves, motors, etc.
- Perform quality checks on all work performed.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices and use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain documentation as required by Atlantic Packaging.
- Required to utilize documentation in CMMS.
- Install new machines and equipment.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and other duties as assigned.
- Inform production workers of routine mechanical preventive maintenance plans.
What You Bring- Must have a valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License -433A
- Red Seal Journeyman certification
- Level 3, 4 and 5 Apprentice
- Minimum 2-3-year previous experience in a manufacturing industry
- Exposure to mechanical devices, pneumatic controls and welding/cutting.
- All position welding preferred (stainless steel pipe, guard repairs, etc.).
