Full Job Description
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

Location: New York
Setting: Remote / Telehealth
Position: Full-Time
Salary: $115,000-$120,000 per year + full benefits
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

We're looking for a New York-licensed LMHC to provide individual counseling through telehealth. You'll work with clients who may be dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, or significant changes in their lives.

This is a direct-care position with a regular weekday schedule. You'll manage an ongoing caseload, conduct sessions from a private remote setting, and handle the clinical follow-up associated with your work.

Duties:
  • Conduct scheduled individual counseling sessions online
  • Complete intake evaluations and review relevant client information
  • Establish treatment goals and determine appropriate counseling approaches
  • Help clients develop practical ways to manage emotional and behavioral concerns
  • Review changes in client needs and respond appropriately
  • Maintain complete and timely electronic health records
  • Make referrals when additional services are outside your scope of practice
  • Manage appointments and caseload responsibilities according to established standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with New York professional and telehealth requirements

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a qualifying related field
  • Active New York Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license
  • Previous experience providing psychotherapy or behavioral health counseling
  • Working knowledge of common mental health conditions and counseling approaches
  • Ability to independently organize a full-time caseload
  • Clear written communication and accurate recordkeeping skills
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work effectively in a virtual care environment
