Valid driver's license required with an acceptable driving record
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Land Surveying preferred
Familiarity with Bentley OpenRoads Designer is a plus
Knowledge of NYSDOT survey procedures is a plus
Experience with Trimble robotics and GNSS is advantageous
Proficiency with terrestrial LiDAR, sUAS, StarNet, and TBC is a plus
Responsibilities
Understand and apply survey methodology and adjustments
Review and adjust field data utilizing multiple software platforms
Create terrain models using Bentley OpenRoads
Review and retrace right-of-way and property records
Draft surveys and acquisition maps using survey drafting techniques
Register terrestrial LiDAR data and extract relevant information to CADD platform
Communicate effectively with both field and office teams

Description
Popli Design Group (PDG) is seeking full-time Licensed Land Surveyor or experienced Survey Technician for our Penfield, NY office. This position will report to the Director of Land Surveying and will primarily be an office role, performing boundary/right-of-way determination, data reduction and mapping.
Survey Office Technician or Licensed Land Surveyor - Responsibilities and skills to include, but not limited to:
Understanding of survey methodology and adjustments.
Review and adjust field data utilizing multiple software platforms.
Create terrain models in Bentley OpenRoads.
