We're looking for an experienced, licensed HVAC professional with a strong background in field supervision, permitting, inspections, and code compliance to take on an important leadership role within a growing HVAC operation.
This person will be a key point of contact with local inspectors and municipalities, using their knowledge of the trade and local requirements to keep projects moving and help resolve issues in the field. The ideal candidate will have established experience working with inspectors, managing permits and inspections, and representing a company professionally on job sites.
What You'll Do- Build and maintain professional relationships with local inspectors and municipalities
- Meet inspectors on job sites and serve as a knowledgeable point of contact
- Coordinate and close out inspections
- Oversee permitting and inspection requirements from the beginning of a job through completion
- Provide technical support and guidance to technicians and field teams
- Review completed work for quality, code compliance, and proper installation
- Help troubleshoot complex field issues and provide practical solutions
- Help recruit, interview, and hire HVAC technicians
- Train, mentor, and develop technicians and apprentices
- Work with the existing Operations Manager to support the field team and keep projects moving
- Stay current on HVAC codes, regulations, permitting requirements, and industry standards
- Step in where needed to help maintain a high standard of workmanship and customer service
What We're Looking For- Current Connecticut S-1 license required
- Extensive residential HVAC experience
- Proven experience managing permits, inspections, and inspection closeouts
- Strong working knowledge of Connecticut HVAC codes and requirements
- Experience working directly with inspectors and local authorities
- Established relationships within the local inspection and permitting community preferred
- Previous experience hiring, training, mentoring, or supervising HVAC technicians
- Strong understanding of installation, service, and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of issues from start to finish
- Professional judgment and the ability to represent the company confidently with customers, employees, inspectors, and municipalities

Compensation: $130,000 + Bonus depending on experience and qualifications
