Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience at law firm and/or asset manager.
• Familiarity with diverse fund structures and their regulatory implications.
• Knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act, Investment Company Act, and securities laws.
• Experience in the US and international distribution of alternative investment products.
• Strong analytical abilities and fund documentation drafting experience.
• Excellent negotiation, detail orientation, and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
• Adaptable to evolving business needs and legal areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice for Barings investment funds with various fund structures.
• Support capital raising and distribution across asset classes such as private equity and public fixed income.
• Manage legal aspects of new fund projects, collaborating with outside counsel and internal teams.
• Cultivate relationships with external counsel to enhance legal efficiency.
• Streamline internal processes to improve fund raising efforts.
