Full Job Description
Dordick Law Corporation, an award winning civil litigation personal injury law firm, is seeking experienced legal assistants with prior plaintiff experience. Our practice is primarily focused on catastrophic personal injury, negligence, product defect and road design. This is not a remote or hybrid position. You must be willing and able to work at our downtown Los Angeles or Beverly Hills office.

As a legal assistant at Dordick Law, you'll be working with an exceptionally talented team of dedicated legal practitioners. Key Responsibilities:
  • Clearing depo availability for Clients' Depos / Pre-Depos / Pre-Depo Call with Provider Depos
  • Non-Retained portion of 2034
  • FROG Questionnaire / Verification Forms
  • Discovery Charts
  • Serve Subpoena Objection for Records / Depos
  • Request for Dismissals / Requests for Default (with direction)
  • IDC Statements / Forms
  • Discovery Shells, Depo Summaries, Discovery Response Summary
  • Obtaining Court Call / Court Connect for Hearings
  • Executing Stipulation to Cont. Trial, etc.
  • Notices of Joinder to Depositions
  • Propound Supplemental Discovery to Defendants (Set 1 and 2, when due)
  • Service of DME - Response / Objection / Opposition
  • Obtaining Mediator Availability
  • Upload conformed copy of initial case documents to CMS
  • Service of Complaints along with Statement of Damages (All City or Cal West)

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

-Minimum 2 years of experience in litigation

-College degree unless your experience exceeds 5 years

-Must be adept in Office365, familiar with CA Code of Civil Procedure and Local Rules, and CRM/CMS

-Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required

This is NOT an entry-level position. Some knowledge/experience with litigation is required. You must be punctual, detail-oriented, organized, excellent in time management, and interested in your career.

Salary

$39 - $45 per hour
