Description
The Managerial Communications group at the MIT Sloan School of Management seeks a fulltime Lecturer, Principal Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer, depending on qualifications, to teach various Communication courses. The Managerial Communications group teaches courses for Sloan Undergraduates, MBAs, MFins, MBAns, Sloan Fellows, EMBAs, and PhD students.
We are seeking someone who can successfully teach the MBA Core Communication for Leaders course, the elective Advanced Leadership Communication course, and other courses offered by the department. The group currently has 10 teaching faculty and offers a wide range of Communication courses. There is a balance of Core required courses in various programs along with electives that are extremely popular throughout the student body.
The pay range for a 9-month academic appointment for a Lecturer through Senior Lecturer rank is $108K to $227,618. The pay offered to a selected candidate during hiring will be based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience and education/training, internal peer equity, and applicable legal requirements. These factors impact where an individual's pay falls within a range. Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background check, including verifying any finding of misconduct (or pending investigation) from prior employers.
The initial appointment will be for 1-to-3 years with possible extensions generally 3-to-5 years.

We are seeking a candidate with a strong Communication background. Teaching experience at the graduate level is highly preferred. A Master's degree in a relevant field is required; a PhD is preferred.
