Job Summary:

The Learning & Development Specialist develops, administers, and delivers learning solutions that provide training, documentation, and support for internal and external customers worldwide through Chesterton's Learning Management system.The position also develops and produces engaging multimedia training, product demonstrations, and video content from concept through final production, while working simultaneously with subject matter experts throughout the organization.

Training may include instructor-led training, self-paced e-learning, virtual classrooms, webinars, video-on-demand, interactive learning, and other technology-enabled learning experiences.

This position also supports Chesterton's in-house multimedia production capabilities, including operation of a three-camera production studio and live broadcast environment. The role utilizes professional video production and editing tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, and stays current with emerging technologies such as AI-generated video avatars and AI voiceover solutions.

Job Model: Hybrid

Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.

Responsibilities:
• Consistent, regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Administers all aspects of Chesterton's Learning Management System (LMS), including course creation and maintenance, user enrollment, learning paths, competencies, prerequisites, reporting, completion tracking, and system configuration.
• Provides ongoing LMS support to internal and external users and assists employees and customers with technical and software-related questions.
• Reviews company learning and development programs to assess their potential for on-line delivery and advise appropriate managers and stakeholders on opportunities to redesign or enhance curriculum using e-learning and other digital learning technologies.
• Develops instructional material, coordinates, writes and edits and publishes educational content, while incorporating current technology into learning solutions
• Creates, customizes, and publishes self-paced interactive learning content in collaboration with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
• Develops project plans, schedules, timelines, benchmarks, and measurable targets for learning and multimedia projects as needed.
• Researches and recommends e-learning technologies, multimedia, LMS, video production, and emerging learning technologies and implements solutions aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
• Provides software support to employees in need of assistance for project activity
• Creates professional product videos, product demonstrations, training videos, webinars, and other multimedia content from concept through completion, including:
• Concept development
• Storyboarding
• Script writing
• Voiceover recording and production
• Video production
• Video editing
• Graphics and visual elements
• Audio editing
• Post-production
• Final publishing and distribution
• Utilizes Adobe Creative Suite and related professional video production software for video editing, graphics, audio, and post-production.
• Operates and supports Chesterton's three-camera in-house production studio for video production, training, webinars, corporate communications, and live broadcasts.
• Supports live broadcast productions, including camera operation, audio, lighting, switching, recording, and other production requirements.
• Works collaboratively with multiple departments and global regions to identify, develop, enhance, and deliver training programs that meet business, product, customer, and performance objectives.
• Provides documentation, training, and support to online training users and assists customers with accessing and completing required training.
• Supports internal and external customers in developing a better understanding of Chesterton products, including product application, installation, operation, and selling.
• Utilizes and explores AI-powered learning and multimedia technologies, including AI video avatars, AI-generated voiceovers, and other AI-assisted content development tools.
• Assists in identifying opportunities to incorporate AI and emerging technologies into Chesterton's training and learning ecosystem.

Complexity of Duties:
• Independently manages assigned LMS, training, multimedia, and technology-related projects.
• Handles moderate issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of learning and development, LMS administration, e-learning, multimedia production, and related technologies.
• Works as part of a team while coordinating projects and deliverables with multiple departments, subject matter experts, and global regions.
• Manages multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established schedules, deadlines, and quality standards.
• Must stay current with emerging technologies in learning and development, multimedia production and AI.

• Ability to create product videos, demonstrations, and training assets for all regions, managing the process from concept development, script writing, and voiceover creation through editing and post-production.
• Ability to work with multiple departments and regional teams to develop, update, and enhance training programs.
• Ability to operate a three-camera in-house production studio and support live broadcasts, recordings, and related production activities.
• Knowledge and understanding of Instructional Systems Design Process
• Familiarity with creating AI video avatars and AI-generated voiceovers to support scalable digital learning content.
• Occasional travel required. Valid driver's license required.

Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 4-6 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience in implementing Learning Management Solutions or learning management solutions.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite for video editing, media production, and post-production workflows.
• E-learning certification from a recognized training source preferred

Targeted pay range: $85,000 - $90,000 annually depending on experience

Chesterton is committed to paying all its employees in a fair and equitable manner. The pay range associated with this position ($85,000 - $90,000/annually DOE) is Chesterton's good-faith salary estimate for the presently available position. Several roles at Chesterton are considered "leveled" positions and as such, the company reserves the right to advertise and or hire for this position at appropriate level depending on applicant's skillset/experience. If the salary range to be offered for a "leveled" based position (I, II, III, etc.) is different than what was advertised on any posting, that range will be discussed with the candidate before they are formally invited to interview.

Hired applicants may be eligible for additional incentive compensation depending on the level and or function of the position which will be discussed with the candidate prior to formal interview. Payments under these programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

Please note that the final salary offered for any position will be based on many factors, including but not limited to: candidate qualifications such as education and experience, internal equity, geographical location, and budget.
