Full Job Description
We're looking for an experienced learning leader who can design practical, engaging development experiences that help employees and leaders grow. As the Learning Experience and Instructional Design Lead, you'll partner with leaders, HR colleagues, and subject matter experts to understand business needs, identify capability gaps, and create solutions that support organizational priorities.
This role is ideal for someone who brings strong instructional design expertise, a consultative approach, and the ability to lead complex projects from idea to implementation. You'll design solutions across instructor-led, virtual, digital, and blended formats and facilitate professional, manager, and leadership development programs that strengthen coaching, communication, performance management, and leadership effectiveness.
You'll have the opportunity to shape how development is designed and delivered across the organization by applying adult learning principles, supporting consistent design practices, and using feedback and data to strengthen programs over time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with stakeholders to understand learning needs, prioritize projects, and recommend practical solutions.
- Designing and developing high-impact learning experiences, materials, and performance support tools.
- Managing learning projects from planning through implementation and evaluation.
- Delivering manager and leadership development programs that equip leaders with practical tools to elevate team effectiveness and support personal growth.
- Helping employees and leaders understand the capabilities needed for growth across roles and career levels.
- Using feedback, data, and business insights to improve future learning experiences and demonstrate impact.
A strong candidate will bring a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 7+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, corporate training, education, or a related field. Experience designing learning across multiple formats is important, and experience with e-learning authoring tools, LMS platforms, SCORM-based content, and multimedia development is helpful. We're looking for someone who is collaborative, organized, curious, and passionate about helping people learn and grow.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

This role allows for a combination of remote and in-office work, with occasional visits to the office based on business needs. Specific in-office days may vary and will be discussed during the interview process.
Compensation & Benefits:
Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
The salary range for this position is between $100,000 to $115,000.
In addition, Byline provides benefits including medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, paid time off and much more! Depending on the specific role, compensation may also include discretionary bonuses and other benefit programs. The actual compensation package may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience level, and candidate's location.
