Job Description:
The Lead, Systems Engineer, will be responsible for working within an Integrated Product Team responsible for specialized signal processing systems for a diverse customer base. This team works closely with customers to gain insight into real-world needs, priorities, and obtains operational feedback to provide the best system solutions for our users. This position requires a highly skilled engineer interested in product innovation to design and implement complex and challenging C/ C++ DSP software solutions for the team's products and many programs. This position requires a self-motivated team player with excellent technical and communication skills.
Essential Functions:
10% travel based on business needs.
Develop algorithms requiring a strong mathematical background with a firm understanding of advanced modulation techniques and digital communications theory as well as Digital RF related time and frequency domain transforms, filters, convolutions, networks, and structures.
Convert algorithms to real-time, reusable DSP C/C++ code that is compliant with an existing system architecture.
Integrate developed DSP software into system architecture and code base.
Optimize software to meet processing limitations of hardware resources.
Ensure developed software provides solutions that perform in the customer's operational environment.
Collaborate with team to translate system requirements to technical specifications.
Ensure design and developed systems follow specifications.
Work closely with team members to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, as well as operational performance requirements.
