Full Job Description
Algorithm & Pipeline Development: Design and implement image processing (ISP), color calibration, and AI/analysis pipelines to extract precise quantitative data from cells, tissues, and clinical scans. System & Hardware Integration: Connect digital scanners, cameras, and microscopy systems with imaging software, lab systems (LIMS), and enterprise platforms to streamline image flow. Quality & Performance Tuning: Tune sensor parameters, stain/color normalization, and camera settings to remove visual noise and maintain consistent image quality across labs. Testing, Calibration & QA: Build test plans to calibrate optics and sensors, validating system responsiveness, measurement accuracy, and optical quality against research and clinical standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate complex biological needs into clear engineering specs by collaborating closely with scientists, pathologists, hardware vendors, and software teams. Standards & Compliance: Ensure all digital imaging workflows comply with data governance (FAIR principles), GxP/21 CFR Part 11 medical regulations, and strict documentation standards.
Lab Imaging Systems (Whole slide scanners, high-content screening systems, specialized digital microscopy cameras), Processing & Analysis Tools (OpenCV, PyTorch, ImageJ/Fiji, HALO, QuPath), Standards & Storage Infrastructure (DICOM, OME-TIFF/Zarr integrated with enterprise cloud storage and PACS/VNA systems)
