Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced international tax professional to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, International Tax Accounting, you will lead and coordinate a broad range of cross border tax initiatives including FDDEI filings, Pillar 2 (Global Minimum Tax) compliance, transfer pricing documentation, and foreign tax provision reporting while supporting the preparation and review of foreign data for LMC's federal income tax return, quarterly financial reporting, tax payments, long range planning, and tax provision. This role offers the chance to apply deep technical tax expertise, drive process automation, and mentor junior staff in a highly collaborative, globally focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead FDDEI end to end processes: calculation, validation, filing, robust documentation, audit trail maintenance, liaison with external auditors and tax authorities, and related modeling/planning.
• Design, implement, and advise on Pillar 2 (Global Minimum Tax) compliance frameworks, including data collection, analysis, reporting, impact assessment, and mitigation strategies. Coordinate filings of the GIR and QDMTTs, ability to gather information from EU and Asia Pacific jurisdictions that require flexibility across time zones.
• Oversee transfer pricing documentation, benchmarking studies, and intercompany agreement reviews. Manage special projects such as tax provision enhancements, M&A tax integration, treaty analysis, and other ad hoc initiatives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for foreign subsidiaries (Americas, EMEA, APAC). Schedule and lead regular virtual meetings, ensure alignment across time zones, and provide guidance and training on FDDEI, Pillar 2, and transfer pricing best practices.
• Mentor junior tax staff, provide technical guidance, and drive continuous improvement of tax processes, leveraging automation where feasible.
• Review and analyze foreign income tax provision reporting and forecasting; prepare calculations related to earnings and profits, dividends, and cash distributions from foreign subsidiaries.
• Prepare and/or review required foreign income tax forms (1118, 5471, 8621, 8865, 8858, 926, 8991, 8992, 8993) for the corporation's federal income tax return filing.
• Prepare foreign tax credit calculations and related expense allocations.
• Support federal and international audit requests, conduct tax issue research, and defend tax positions challenged by tax authorities.
• Assist the Tax Manager with special tax projects, including IT initiatives and business acquisitions/dispositions.
• Perform assessments of unrecognized tax positions and review SARBOX documentation.
• Carry out other duties as assigned or necessary.

Onsite requirements: 1 day/week in office at a major Lockheed Martin hub

Timely and accurately prepares and files all applicable tax returns and reports involved with federal, state, local, property, sales, and other tax liabilities in accordance with the prescribed laws and regulations. Prepares tax accounting records and reports in accordance with applicable tax accounting practices, including external reporting of the effective tax rate, the balance sheet, transfer pricing, cash flow forecasting and the tax footnote, including quarterly disclosures. Identify and report to management opportunities and issues as they relate to tax matters with the objective to minimize tax or tax exposure for the organization. Assignments include conducting internal audits relating to tax matters; assisting in external tax audits; preparing guidelines or policies related to tax compliance; tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions; and modeling the financial impact of new or proposed tax legislation.

Basic Qualifications
• Six years of tax practice experience in a public accounting firm or a large corporate tax department, with strong technical expertise in both US GAAP and ASC740 tax accounting.
• Hands on experience with ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes) and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls.
• Proven knowledge of international tax laws and policies (FDDEI, Pillar 2, transfer pricing, foreign tax credits, etc.) and ability to apply them to corporate tax provisions and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of creating clear presentations and delivering messages effectively to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrated willingness to continuously learn and mentor junior staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, global environment.

Desired Skills
• CPA and/or a master's degree in tax, accounting, or a related field.
• Four or more years of experience at a Big Four or large public accounting firm.
• Knowledge and experience in M&A due diligence, financial modeling, and joint venture tax structuring.
• Hands on experience with digital tax tools and transformation initiatives (AI, Alteryx, interactive dashboards).
• Proficiency with major tax technology platforms such as Thomson Reuters OneSource, Oracle Tax TRCS, and Corptax.

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): :$100200.00 - $186200.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): :$89100.00 - $165500.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): :$80200.00 - $149000.00
    • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL; Lufkin, TX; etc.
