The Job:As aLead, Quality Software Performance, you’ll be part of our Construction Technology team working as a hybrid employee. You’ll get to:
- Lead performance engineering initiatives across software applications and services with a strong hands-on approach.
- Identify performance risks early in the software development lifecycle and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Establish performance engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices, and drive a performance-by-design culture across teams.
- Build realistic workload models covering normal, peak, stress, spike, and endurance scenarios.
- Develop reusable Gatling test frameworks and libraries to improve test development efficiency.
- Analyze Gatling reports and test metrics to identify latency, throughput, error-rate, and resource-utilization issues.
- Promote reusable, maintainable, and version-controlled performance automation.
- Build scripts and tooling to generate test data, orchestrate workloads, validate responses, and automate performance test execution.
- Define performance objectives, SLAs, response time targets, throughput requirements, and capacity expectations.
- Partner closely with development, architecture, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver highly scalable and reliable applications.

- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of experience building performance automation frameworks and reusable testing utilities.
- Strong hands-on experience with Gatling, Node.js, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript for development of complex performance test simulations.
- Proficiency with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience analyzing application behavior under load and identifying performance bottlenecks.
- Experience defining performance objectives, service-level expectations, and capacity requirements.
- Strong collaboration skills with development, architecture, DevOps, and Product teams.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

The Salary range for this position is $95,600.00 - $153,900.00
This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
