OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Pulmonary Laboratory Technician is responsible for the operation, upgrade, maintenance and education for the Pulmonary Blood Gas Laboratory functions. In addition, the position requires providing clinical education to the staff and the development, maintenance and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: An individual who has graduated from a formal respiratory care program. Bachelors degree in Respiratory Therapy or related science is preferred.
Experience: This individual must have experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of blood gas machines.
Knowledge and Skills: This individual must be able to perform and teach others how to perform Arterial blood drawing and analysis. Must have basic knowledge of quality control and maintenance procedures for blood gas machines.
License and Certifications: Licensed by the State of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR card.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$36.50 - $54.76

Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
