Full Job Description
Compensation Range: $275,000-290,000 yearly commensurate with experience.

Benefits:
We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a total of up to 30 days earned in the first year. We offer employees an educational benefit. This money is available for tuition loan reimbursement, tuition costs, and text books.

Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled, board-certified or board-eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and their families. The ideal candidate will have experience evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions through medication management, psychoeducation, and close collaboration with therapists and other providers. Familiarity with New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) regulations is expected.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic strategies
  • Provide ongoing medication management and monitor treatment outcomes
  • Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and case managers to ensure coordinated, holistic care
  • Engage families and caregivers to support treatment adherence and continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA and clinical standards
  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and interdisciplinary care planning
  • Stay current with developments in child and adolescent psychiatry through ongoing education
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Psychiatric Officer


Job Requirements:

  • MD or DO with a current, unrestricted New York State medical license
  • Completion of residency in Psychiatry and fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Board certification or eligibility in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • DEA license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to collaborative, trauma-informed approach to care
  • Experience in outpatient, school-based, or telehealth settings
  • Specialized experience with underserved populations (e.g., LGBTQ+ youth, trauma survivors, children with ADHD)
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities is preferred

Work environment:
  • Outpatient clinic setting
  • Hybrid schedule (in-person and telehealth)
  • The position's schedule is Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
