Job Summary: Lead Project Managers work in a supervisor position with day-to-day responsibility for mentoring/coaching/monitoring other project managers regarding all project activities throughout the project cycle. Lead project Managers are typically responsible for managing more complex projects and providing the business with capital estimates with the appropriate level of accuracy for proposed projects in the upfront stages where GOM order estimates are required in the project feasibility phase.
Principal Responsibilities: - Manage the day-to-day activities of full-time project managers and contract project managers.
- Interface with stakeholders to determine the project scope.
- Develop an effective Project Definition & Execution Strategy that instills a high degree of confidence in the project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Deliver comprehensive project documentation upon project conclusion.
- Serve as a technical resource to plants, aiding in the development of problem solutions or necessary improvements.
- Complete both paper and electronic documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills: - Knowledge of engineering rules-of-thumb, scaling factors, and equipment lead times.
- Knowledge of codes and regulations as they pertain to industrial gas projects, i.e. ASME particularly B31.1, NEC, building codes, permitting experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications: - A bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in project management, preferably in the industrial gases industry with demonstrated ability to develop a complicated technical scope, schedule and budget and consistently deliver to it.
The salary range for this position is $118,000-$157,000.
