Full Job Description
The Problem to solve

Utility systems weren't built to connect seamlessly with a DER platform. CIS holds the customer record, while ADMS and Grid DERMS drive real-time grid decisions. Each system operates with its own data model, security posture, and review process. You will be the key leader who transforms that fragmentation into a coherent, streamlined integration strategy.

The Role

As the Lead Product Manager, you will own how EnergyHub connects and integrates with utility operational systems, ensuring we understand our mutual end-customers (CIS), manage distribution grid conditions (OT systems), and unlock automation opportunities that drive value. This is a focused mandate where you will own the utility-facing integration surface end to end. Over time, your team will leverage internal APIs built by core platform teams to solve the "last-mile" challenge, building a robust set of outward connectors and an ecosystem of software vendors and system integration partners.

This role reports to a Director of Product and will collaborate with stakeholders across the company, including other product managers, engineers, data scientists, sales, solutions engineering, and client success.

Why this role matters
  • You are the technical face of EnergyHub inside utility control rooms and IT departments. Strong utility relationships depend on whether client technical teams trust and derive long-term value from our integrations.
  • Sticky integrations drive both revenue growth and client retention. Your products will save time for customers, unlock new VPP use cases on the grid, improve renewal rates, and boost post-integration NPS scores.

What you'll do
  • Own the product roadmap for utility system integrations across CIS, ADMS, and Grid DERMS, balancing multiple integration channels to optimize investment across each.
  • Extend internal APIs outward into a polished, cohesive, and highly performant public API surface.
  • Drive enrollment automation logic to seamlessly onboard customers and their DER assets into program eligibility and lifecycle systems.
  • Accelerate customer onboarding and time-to-value through developer-friendly API usability tools, including SDKs, quick-start guides, test datasets, and clear documentation.
  • Partner with core platform teams to shape data model extensions across key domains required for platform-wide automation and analysis.
  • Translate complex utility technical constraints into clear product requirements that balance long-term platform stability with rapid deal execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring
  • 8+ years of software product management experience, with meaningful ownership of APIs, platform products, or third-party integrations.
  • Deep utility operations knowledge, including familiarity with systems like CIS and ADMS.
  • Comfort navigating security, compliance, and IT governance reviews alongside client technical teams.
  • A track record of taking messy, non-standard requirements from multiple stakeholders and turning them into a coherent product plan.

Strong plus
  • Direct exposure to utility control room operations, NERC CIP requirements and/or Customer Information Systems.
  • Prior experience with API products, in-house utility environments, enterprise integrations, or solutions engineering.

Please note that sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization, or any other immigration-related support, is not available for this position at this time.
