Description

Fully Remote (U.S. Only): This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. You must be available five days per week during designated work hours. The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. This may include adjustments to on-site requirements or schedule expectations, as necessary.

Position Overview

As an integral member of the People Operations team, the Lead HR Applications provides operational leadership and technical expertise for HR technology systems, including the HRIS and related business applications. This role leads and develops the HR Applications team, oversees project intake and prioritization, and ensures the effective administration, enhancement, and support of HR systems. The Lead HR Applications partners with HR, Payroll, IT, and other crossfunctional stakeholders to improve business processes, support AI, automation, and integration initiatives, and drive system effectiveness through strong governance, metrics, and accountability.

The position serves as a subject matter expert for HR applications, ensuring data integrity, system performance, reporting capabilities, and high-quality service delivery while supporting ongoing business and technology initiatives.

Team Leadership & Operations
  • Lead, coach, and develop the HR Applications team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, accountability, and customer service.
  • Oversee project intake, prioritization, resource allocation, and issue resolution to ensure effective delivery of system enhancements, support activities, and business initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain operational processes, governance standards, service levels, and performance metrics for HR applications and related technologies.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to drive alignment, accountability, and successful outcomes.

HR Applications Administration
  • Provide operational oversight and support for the HRIS and related business systems, ensuring system effectiveness, data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Oversee the design, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of system enhancements, configurations, workflows, reports, interfaces, and upgrades.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between HR, Payroll, IT, and vendors to support issue resolution, system optimization, and business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, training materials, and end-user support resources, while providing guidance and training as needed.

Reporting, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
  • Provide reporting and analytics support for HR and business functions, including workforce analytics, compensation processes, compliance reporting, and ad hoc requests.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reporting solutions to support operational effectiveness and business decision-making.
  • Monitor data quality and identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting capabilities, automation, and overall system performance.

Technology Innovation & Integration
  • Support and champion AI, automation, workflow, and integration initiatives that enhance employee experience and HR operational effectiveness.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize system integrations, data interfaces, and technology solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and data accuracy.

Compliance & Data Security
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of employee data while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, privacy requirements, and company policies.
  • Monitor system controls, security access, and operational processes to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting HRIS, HR technology, or related business applications, including reporting, analytics, system enhancements, and integrations.
  • Experience leading HR technology implementations, upgrades, process improvements, and cross-functional projects.
  • Leadership experience through direct or indirect supervision, mentoring, project leadership, or leading cross-functional initiatives preferred.
  • Experience with AI-enabled technologies, automation tools, workflow solutions, and system integrations preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in HR systems, SQL, Excel, reporting tools, analytics, and dashboard development.
  • Strong leadership, project management, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships and drive accountability among HR, Payroll, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technology and process solutions.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
  • Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.


The base pay range for this position is $81,500 - $100,000 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
