Job Description:The Lead Financial Systems Analyst serves as a key business partner supporting finance-owned systems and applications. This role works closely with Finance, IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors to support system operations, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate technology-related initiatives.
This position acts as a bridge between Finance and Information Technology, helping translate business requirements into effective system solutions while ensuring financial applications continue to support evolving business needs. The role will support a portfolio of finance systems, including ERP platforms, workflow applications, banking systems, and other finance-owned technologies.
This role will also support ongoing finance transformation initiatives, including the organization's transition of business processes from JD Edwards (JDE) to Oracle.
Financial Systems Partnership & Support- Serve as a primary business partner between Finance, IT, and business stakeholders for finance-owned systems and applications.
- Support day-to-day operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of financial systems, including ERP platforms and related applications.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and implement system enhancements, process improvements, and defect resolution.
- Troubleshoot system and process-related issues and coordinate resolution with internal and external support teams.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, process flows, support procedures, and user guidance materials.
Project & Transformation Support- Coordinate system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.
- Gather and document business requirements and assist in developing functional solutions.
- Support testing activities, including user acceptance testing and post-implementation stabilization.
- Assist with change management, training, and communication activities related to system initiatives.
- Support finance transformation efforts, including ERP migration and process modernization projects.
Stakeholder Management- Build strong working relationships across Finance, IT, Shared Services, and business functions.
- Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of system solutions.
- Assist in prioritizing support requests, enhancement opportunities, and project activities.
- Coordinate activities with offshore resources, vendors, and support partners as needed.
Governance & Compliance- Support SOX controls, user access reviews, audit requests, and change management processes.
- Promote strong governance, data integrity, and system security practices.
- Maintain documentation supporting compliance, controls, and operational procedures.
Qualifications Required- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience supporting ERP systems, financial applications, or business systems.
- Experience working across Finance and IT organizations to support business processes and technology solutions.
- Experience supporting system enhancements, testing, implementations, and issue resolution activities.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within a cross-functional environment.
Preferred- Experience supporting JD Edwards (JDE), Oracle ERP, or similar enterprise systems.
- Experience in a business systems analyst, functional analyst, super-user, or ERP support role.
- Manufacturing, shared services, accounting, or finance process experience.
- Knowledge of SOX controls and audit support processes.
- Experience supporting ERP migrations, finance transformation initiatives, or large-scale system implementations.
- Experience coordinating offshore resources and external vendors.
- Spanish language proficiency.
