About the job you're considering

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead LIMS Engineer with deep expertise in LabVantage LIMS to lead the design, implementation, enhancement, integration, and support of enterprise laboratory information management solutions within a regulated Life Sciences environment.
The ideal candidate will serve as a technical leader responsible for driving LIMS strategy, solution architecture, platform governance, and global delivery initiatives across R&D, Quality Control, Manufacturing, and Regulatory laboratories. This role requires extensive experience leading large-scale LabVantage implementations, integrations, system modernization efforts, and global support teams while ensuring compliance with GxP and validation requirements.
The Lead LIMS Engineer will partner closely with laboratory business stakeholders, quality organizations, enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to deliver scalable, compliant, and innovative laboratory solutions that support business growth and digital transformation initiatives.

Your Role

  • Serve as the primary technical lead and subject matter expert for LabVantage LIMS across the enterprise.
  • Define LIMS architecture, solution design standards, development practices, and governance frameworks.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of LabVantage enhancement initiatives, implementations, upgrades, and migration projects.
  • Drive platform modernization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and approve technical designs, configurations, customizations, and integration approaches.
  • Establish best practices for system performance, scalability, maintainability, and security.
  • Design, configure, customize, and enhance LabVantage LIMS modules supporting R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Stability, and Regulatory workflows.
  • Develop and oversee implementation of workflows, business rules, automation processes, data models, and system configurations.
  • Lead complex custom development activities using LabVantage technologies
  • Ensure all enhancements follow SDLC, CSV, change management, and validation procedures.
  • Conduct code reviews and establish development standards across project teams.
  • Design and support API, web service, middleware, and file-based integrations.
  • Drive laboratory automation initiatives involving instrument connectivity and data acquisition.
  • Evaluate and implement innovative technologies to improve laboratory efficiency and data integrity.
  • Provide technical leadership for global L3 support and critical incident management.
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts for complex production issues and define preventive measures.
  • Ensure LabVantage solutions comply with GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ALCOA+, and global regulatory requirements.
  • Establish documentation standards, SOPs, and governance processes.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Lead workshops, design sessions, and requirements gathering activities.
  • Lead and mentor LIMS engineers, developers, administrators, and offshore delivery teams.
  • Drive successful execution across global, cross-functional teams.


Your Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience implementing, configuring, and supporting LIMS platforms, including significant hands-on experience with LabVantage LIMS.
  • Deep expertise in LabVantage architecture, configurations, workflows, forms, business rules, and platform administration.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale LabVantage implementations and upgrade programs.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory operations across R&D, QC, Stability, Manufacturing, and Regulatory functions.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations using APIs, web services, middleware, and messaging platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases, database optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, SQL, XML, REST/SOAP services, and modern integration frameworks.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics platforms supporting laboratory environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, application hosting, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.


The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $73,150 - $174,000.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
