TheLead Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for leading key aspects of project execution within their discipline, includingscope, schedule, cost, technical execution, risk, and quality. This role provides technical and operational leadership for embedded software development efforts and partners closely with project, engineering, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful program execution across the full software development lifecycle.
Roles and Responsibilities
Serve as theControl Account Manager (CAM)for project elements delegated by theEngineering Project Manager.
Lead day-to-daytechnical and operational activitiesfor individual contributors.
Work alongside the team toauthor, develop, and implement embedded software solutions.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with thecustomer, Engineering Project Manager, and project and engineering leadership.
Understand and manage thetechnical scope, cost, and schedulefor assigned project responsibilities.
Plan, forecast, coordinate, monitor, and lead thesoftware effort across the full software development lifecyclefor the assigned project area.
Provide software team oversight to ensure delivery ofhigh-quality software artifacts and products.
Escalate issues in atimely manner.
Monitor team progress against deliverables, remove roadblocks, and driveaccountability and ownershipfor individual and team commitments.
Identify and managedependencies, risks, and scope changesassociated with the software effort.
Define supplier scope of work and manage supplier schedule and deliverables, as applicable.
Partner with product stakeholders to understandMGPP and MGTPand communicate project needs and status.
Demonstrate theGE Aerospace Leadership Behaviorsin daily work and team leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree inEngineering, Computer Science, or a related technical fieldfrom an accredited university or college.
Minimum of4 years of experienceinembedded software development.
U.S. citizenshipis required for this position.

Demonstratedproject management skills.
Minimum of5 years of experiencewithDO-178B/C software development processes and certification standardsacross the full software development lifecycle.
Experience working withDO-178B/C DAL B.
Experience withDO-297 / IMA application development.
The base pay range for this position is $95,000.00 - $127,000.00 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors,including the candidates experience, education, and skill set.This position is also eligiblefor an annual discretionary bonus based on apercentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.This posting isexpected to close on10/31/26.
