About The Role- Leads the architectural design of electrical subsystems for the accelerator, including power supplies, high voltage systems, vacuum systems and control layouts
- Define and enforce electrical safety standards compliant with IEC 60601 (Medical Electrical Equipment) and FDA regulations.
- Manages the activities of an engineering group in the development of medical technology relevant to the Company's programs and long-term objectives.
- Identify and define engineering challenges, lead in the formulation of advanced/complex engineering design phases and collaborate with other scientists and engineers to develop possible design solutions.
- Provide direction, leadership and task assignment to deliver the program to budget, schedule, and adherence to quality requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate completion of tasks and projects.
- Select, evaluate, and develop personnel to ensure the completion of engineering goals.
About You- Required: B.S. in Electrical Engineering
- Preferred: M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge of electrical, electronic and control systems gained in large industrial, scientific or medical projects.
- Experience in the design, specification, review, installation, and/or commissioning of complex electrical and electronic systems.
- Experience of high voltage and or high current systems, safety clearances and SIL safety evaluation.
- Experience of grounding and shielding in an electromagnetic interference (EMI) sensitive environment.
- Experience of working to quality assurance standards for utility, nuclear or medical facilities.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience as a project engineer or other relevant management-level positions.
- Previous experience with large research and development projects, in fusion, fission or large-scale medical devices.
- Experience working in regulated environments (ISO 13485, FDA QSR).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with tight budgets and delivery deadlines.
- Experience with PTC Arena or other PLM solutions for design history files
- Solidworks Electrical, Altium, AutoCAD or similar is a plus
- MS Office, Project, Jira, Confluence or similar project management tools
Other Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Good verbal and communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership ability to inspire and develop a technical team.
- Rigorous attention to detail with a strong focus on patient safety and quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining disciplined engineering practices.
- Experience with CAD software to assist in the design and development of systems (e.g. Electrical schematics etc.) is a plus
- Knowledge and experience of Programmable Logic Controllers and or NI hardware and LabVIEW software is a plus
At TAE Technologies, we consider a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and job-related knowledge, training; licenses and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements depending on the position offered (non-Sr., Sr.,). The compensation range for these roles are $150,000 - $170,000.
