Senior Electrical Engineer
The Senior Electrical Engineer supports internal teams, customers, and Principal Investigators to ensure active experiments and payloads meet ISS and project requirements, are delivered on schedule, integrate smoothly, and perform as expected onorbit.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical & Embedded Systems Design
  • Design electrical circuits, embedded systems, and spaceflight electronics with limited supervision.
  • Develop and program embedded systems for spaceflight hardware, payload interfaces, and ground support equipment.
  • Design electronics and software to interface with customer experiments and payloads; support integration and testing activities.
  • Review electrical and embedded designs produced by others and provide constructive technical feedback.
  • Present designs during technical reviews and incorporate feedback.

Payload & Customer Support
  • Assist customers and Principal Investigators to ensure experiments and payloads meet ISS and project requirements, integrate as planned, and function properly onorbit.
  • Support avionics design, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and legacy system understanding.
  • Participate in safety reviews and verification activities.
  • Support onorbit operations, manufacturing, assembly, and testing.

HandsOn Engineering & Production
  • Write software code as required (C, C++, and related languages).
  • Perform handson assembly and testing of flight hardware and ground support equipment.
  • Plan and support environmental testing of spaceflight hardware.
  • Produce vendorready build packages including BOMs, fabrication drawings, component lists, and related documentation.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers on component selection, manufacturing, and technical coordination.

Project Leadership
  • Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules.
  • Communicate technical status, priorities, and initiatives clearly to team members, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Support extended work schedules and travel as required.
  • Stay current on electronic design technologies, embedded systems, and spaceflight best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder).
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years electrical and embedded circuit/system design experience with highspecification, fielded products.
  • 5+ years developing spaceflight and/or aerospace hardware.
  • 3+ years project engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of digital circuit design, communication protocols, logic control systems, and electronic circuit design.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative, practical engineering solutions.
  • Current knowledge of electrical components and embedded system design.
  • Familiarity with spaceflight environmental effects and component selection for space applications.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in team environments.
  • Proficiency with Altium or similar ECAD tools.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with C, C++, and other common programming languages.
  • Experience with analog instruments and handson electrical hardware work.
  • Strong timemanagement, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate standard productivity equipment and perform handson assembly/test activities.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in both space and nonspace industries.
  • Experience supporting ISS payloads, spaceflight hardware, or related ground support equipment.
  • Experience with embedded systems design, avionics upgrades, and troubleshooting legacy spaceflight systems.
  • Experience supporting environmental testing of spaceflight hardware.
