WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING INVOLVED INAs our business grows, so does the need for smoother, more consistent imaging workflows across the specialized case types we support - from image acquisition through final report delivery. The
Lead Clinical Operations Specialist serves as a dedicated owner for those workflows: someone who deeply understands the operational nuances of case handling, brings clarity and structure to how the team works, and serves as the go-to expert others can lean on as we grow.
- Personally handle a meaningful share of the core Lead Clinical Operations Specialist workload - cross-referencing patient, imaging center, and radiologist information against customer data, client updates, and radiology group communication
- Own the quality bar for the entire team's output, not just your own - build the checks, spot-audits, and feedback loops that catch errors before they reach a client
- Be the escalation point for imaging center and radiology group issues - the ones that don't get resolved by following the standard playbook
- Build and maintain the SOPs and training materials that make this scalable
- Identify where AI and agentic workflows can absorb manual QC and data cross-referencing work.
- Work with sensitive data in line with HIPAA requirements, and hold your team to the same standard
THE TOP 3 THINGS WE WANT YOU TO ACHIEVE IN YOUR FIRST YEAR ARE- Prove you can do the job before you build it - within your first 90 days, be able to competently execute the tasks presented
- Build a quality system (not just personal vigilance) so the team hits the accuracy bar on its own output, and can show a downward trend in team-level errors and escalations over the year.
- Drive toward making part of this role's manual work obsolete - identify and ship at least one AI-assisted or automated workflow that removes manual cross-referencing or QC work from the team's plate.
WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLEYou don't need to tick all the boxes to apply for this role. However, these might be some of the ways you are currently adding value:
- Experience in healthcare operations, managing sensitive data in a client service function. Clinical knowledge of radiology with direct clinical experience is strongly preferred.
- A track record of personally doing detail-critical work at a high accuracy bar - you lead by example, not just by oversight
- Experience building or improving SOPs, training, and quality-control processes for a growing team
- Comfort using AI tools to remove drudgery from your own and your team's workflow, with sound judgment on where it helps and where it doesn't - especially around sensitive patient data
- Strong data manipulation - Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs are a baseline, not a differentiator, for this role
- Direct, low-ego communication - comfortable giving and receiving hard feedback without letting it fester
- Resilience and a bias for action in ambiguity - this is a scale-up, and the role will evolve under you
AI REQUIREMENTSAt Scan.com, AI isn't a side project; it's how we work. For a member of this team, that means using AI daily to draft, check, and move faster. For the person leading this team, the bar is higher: you're expected to see where AI and agentic tooling can restructure the work itself, not just speed up your own tasks.
Tier 3 - AI-BuildingYou use AI daily in your own work, and you actively identify and help build automations or agentic workflows that change how your team operates - not just personal productivity gains. You know how to evaluate whether an AI-driven process is safe and reliable enough for sensitive patient data before rolling it out to the team.
