Work you'll do As a Lead Architect with Anthropic experience, AI & Engineering on the Engineering as a Service team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and developing enterprise-grade Anthropic applications and platforms, selecting technologies and ensuring solutions are robust, scalable and secure. You will:
- Integrate and fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI/ML models into enterprise applications. Develop and implement strategies for model deployment, inference and monitoring, with an emphasis on production level performance and reliability
- Collaborate with enterprise architects to ensure AI solutions align with the broader company's technical strategy, governance and standards
- Design and deploy applications using Cloud Native principles on a hyperscaler platform (AWS, Azure, GCP). Leverage a wide range of hyperscaler tools and services including containers (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless functions, and managed databases.
- Ensure the security of all AI/ML systems by addressing potential vulnerabilities such as data privacy concerns, model poisoning, and adversarial attacks
- Apply and enforce application design patterns and agentic design patterns to build resilient and maintainable software systems

Our flexible delivery models-traditional teams, pools, or pods-are tailored to each client's needs, offering engineering-led advisory, implementation, and operational capabilities to accelerate innovation.
Qualifications Required:
- 8 or more years experience as a Solution or Application Architect with a strong focus on application development
- 8+ years of hand-on experience in Java, .NET or Python
- Hyperscaler architect certifications - AWS Certified Solution Architect, Azure Solution Architect, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect
- 6+ years of experience designing, developing and delivering production AI/ML solutions, including at least 1 year delivering production Generative AI or Agentic AI systems
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing AI/ML applications in Python, Java or .NET
- At least 1 year of direct experience designing or implementing production agentic workflows involving capabilities such as orchestration, tool integration, state management, evaluation, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop controls
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience developing agentic AI solutions using Claude Agent SDK including agent orchestration, tool integration, permissions or MCP integrations
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience developing and deploying production solutions using Anthropic Claude models
- At least 1 year of experience applying prompt engineering, context engineering, structured outputs and related techniques to improve the performance, reliability and usability of AI solutions
- 1+ years of experience leading project workstreams or engagement, translating business problems into AI solutions and delivering measurable outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or another technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- Experience leading and mentoring high performance development teams
- Master's degree in computer science or engineering
- Experience using Claude Cowork to support enterprise workflows, automation, research or other knowledge-work cases
- Hands-on experience using Claude through one of more of the following: Azure AI Foundry, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or the native Anthropic API
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $141,200 to $278,300.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
