Lead Analyst, Project Schedule

Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Analyst, Project Schedule to join our team in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for managing, analyzing, and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely delivery of complex, high-stakes infrastructure projects. This role is critical in ensuring that construction, engineering, and operational milestones are met while managing cost and schedule risks.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Generate and submit progress and spend curves, internal weekly/monthly reports, and contractor schedule reviews.
  • Integrate supplier lead times, manufacturing cycles, and logistics durations with procurement and engineering inputs.
  • Create and maintain schedules for project development, ITB evaluation, and construction phases using tools like Oracle Primavera P6 (EPPM), Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), Microsoft Project, and SharePoint.
  • Review and analyze contractors' Progress /Earned Value reports.
  • Review and analyze contractors' monthly schedule updates.
  • Collaborate with Contracts Managers, Risk Specialists, IT Systems teams, and contractors to address schedule impacts from change orders, technical queries, and risks.
  • Support and guide the project scheduling team, review and optimize scheduling standards, and ensure compliance with project controls governance.
  • Perform deep-dive critical path analysis to identify potential delays. Proactively recommend mitigation strategies to leadership.
  • Perform 'what if scenarios schedules recovery plans regularly, perform critical path and variance analysis, and assess the impact of change orders.
  • Act as a bridge between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align design progression with execution timelines.
  • Facilitate schedule reviews and prepare formal presentations on project status.


Qualifications:

Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.

Experience:
  • 12+ years of planning and scheduling experience in LNG projects, or major oil & gas, power, including EPC, modules fabrication, commissioning, and startup phases.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of CPM methods, floats, constraints, activity dependencies, and project controls.
  • Advanced proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 including cost, resources, and quantity loading.
  • Knowledge of project controls techniques for full project life cycle executions.
  • Ability to perform Earned Value calculations/analysis for EPC projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, and advanced skills with spreadsheets, charts, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Clear, concise, and consistent communication with team members and management.
