facility lead advanced practice clinician to join our established
hospital medicine team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta in Augusta, Georgia. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant who is passionate about hospital medicine, clinical excellence, and team development.
As the facility lead APC, you will serve as a key clinical and operational leader, collaborating closely with physician leadership, hospital administration, and TeamHealth operational partners to support quality patient care and a high-performing APC team. This role combines clinical practice with leadership responsibilities and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a respected hospital medicine program.

Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care within the hospital medicine service
- Serve as the primary APC leader for the facility
- Assist with APC recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and retention efforts
- Support clinical quality, patient experience, and operational performance initiatives
- Facilitate communication between APCs, physicians, hospital leadership, and TeamHealth
- Participate in department meetings, committee work, and leadership discussions
- Ensure adherence to clinical and organizational standards
Qualifications- NP or PA with current Georgia licensure or ability to obtain
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital medicine, inpatient, or acute care experience preferred
- Prior leadership, charge, lead, or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
