We are looking for a creative, team-oriented Landscape Architect to join our Urban Design, Planning & Landscape Architecture studio in our Atlanta office. This position requires a versatile professional who is eager to collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams. Our design teams work with a diverse range of clients to create vibrant places ranging from urban parks, plazas and streetscapes to health or education campuses and mobility corridors. In the role of Landscape Architect, we'll count on you to: • Develop site and public realm design through all phases of projects, from master planning and concept development through construction documents and construction observation. • Create illustrative concept drawings using 2D and 3D digital illustration tolls, free-hand drawing and digital color rendering. • Participate in zoning and site plan approvals, public engagement, design charrettes, development programming, design review and implementation. • Provide construction observation, including field observation of landscape installation and plant selection. • Lead landscape architecture projects and project tasks, including directing and mentoring support staff, coordinating workloads to ensure project deadlines and deliverables are met, reviewing project documents for conflicts and coordination issues with other disciplines, and meeting with client representatives as needed to address project requirements, progress, and design coordination. • Collaborate with architects, planners, engineers and other disciplines on commercial and institutional-scale planning and design projects. • Provide excellent communication, time management, graphic and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications • A minimum of 8 years' experience working as a landscape architect / landscape designer • Licensed landscape architect • Strong planning and design skills, with experience in urban, municipal and institutional-scale projects • Experience in both leading and supporting landscape architecture projects within the full range of planning and design phases including site analysis, community and site planning, conceptual development, construction documentation and observation • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit in construction documentation • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and 3D modeling and rendering programs such as Rhino, SketchUp, Grasshopper, VRay, Lumion and Enscape. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary design teams • Knowledge of construction documentation including site grading, planting design, site layout and detailing and technical specifications • Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, graphic and organizational skills • Strong design sensibility: creativity and curiosity, clear visual communication, strong design rigor including iterative concept exploration through multiple platforms • Interested candidates should respond with job application, resume, and portfolio of recent work samples via web based link • Local candidates are preferred *LI-SM1 Qualifications Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering • Professional registration • Experience with MS Office, AutoCAD and Photoshop • Able to prepare site plans and understand the principles of grading and drainage • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
