PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified Pathologist to join an established hospital-based pathology practice in Columbus, Georgia. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a collaborative physician-led organization while providing high-quality diagnostic services and supporting laboratory operations. There is also an opportunity to be the Laboratory Medical Director if desired.
The ideal candidate will be a strong general surgical pathologist who enjoys working closely with clinicians, laboratory professionals, and hospital leadership to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities- Provide diagnostic services in anatomic and clinical pathology
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with laboratory leadership to support operational excellence
- Serve as a clinical resource for physicians, hospital staff, and laboratory personnel
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, committee work, and other medical staff activities as appropriate
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- AP/CP Board Certification required
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Georgia
- Strong diagnostic and communication skills
- Prior leadership or laboratory medical directorship experience preferred, but not required
*If the laboratory is testing samples for New York State, candidates must hold a New York State Certificate of Qualification (CQ) in at least one category of testing offered by the laboratory.
