Job DescriptionLaboratory DirectorFull Time (day shift)How you'll contribute:The Laboratory Director is responsible for managing the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work to ensure quality standards are met. Responsibilities include hiring, terminating, training, and developing staff, conducting performance reviews, and administering corrective action when necessary.
Essential Functions: - Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
- Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
- Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Qualifications and requirements:Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education
Certifications: ASCP or AMT

We have been providing the best healthcare in Lawrence County and surrounding counties in Southern Middle Tennessee since 1974.
