Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a Labor-Pool Hospitalist physician to join our team at Riverside Smithfield Hospital in Smithfield, Virginia

🔍 About the Role

As a Hospitalist, you will serve as the primary care provider for inpatients, overseeing their medical care from admission through discharge. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, patient-centered care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the hospital.

🩺 Key Responsibilities

• • Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
  • Coordinate with specialists, nurses, and support staff for integrated care
  • Monitor patient progress, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and adjust treatment plans
  • Communicate clearly with patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
  • Facilitate safe and effective discharge planning and transitions of care

• • Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Education

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

Certification(s) and License(s)

Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Virginia

Board Certified or Board Eligible by [name of approved boards]

Current DEA

Qualifications:

Ability to make independent decisions regarding patient care.

Ability to document appropriately and communicate with appropriate parties in a timely manner.

Ability to complete charts in a timely manner.

Experienced in diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions

Basic working knowledge of managed care and Medicare population

Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor

Excellent communication skills

Professional appearance.
