About the role

Job Description

The Lab Pack Manager is responsible for leading the Lab Pack department in the proper segregation, packaging of chemicals into DOT approved containers and affixing the required DOT markings/labels. The Lab Pack Manager's main function is to oversee and monitor all aspects of projects from start to finish, enforce all safety and compliance regulations, and manage department financials.

Position Responsibilities
  • Manage and train Lab Pack department in day-to-day operations, in accordance with RCRA, DOT, and OSHA compliance regulations.
  • Analyze facility budget requests, sales, and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement while identifying areas in which cost reductions and program improvements can be made.
  • Act as a liaison and serve as a representative to Reworld internal and external customers.
  • Execute the handling, generation of all required federal documents, recognition of compatibility, packaging, and transport of hazardous and non-hazardous materials from a variety of industrial and non-industrial customers, all in accordance with USEPA and DOT regulations.
  • Supervise end-to-end process of jobs: efficient and timely quote preparation for customers, job scheduling, labor and equipment coordination, invoice management, and execution through successful completion.
  • Successfully manage employee performance while mentoring and guiding the overall growth of the department.
  • Build and foster key multifaceted relationships with customers, sales representatives, Field Services & Transportation departments, and Reworld facilities to ensure strong company performance.
  • Maintain a clean safety track record while promoting department-wide safe work practices and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in lab pack, waste, or environmental solutions.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Ability to analyze information and suggest improvements.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, business administration, or related field.

Pay Transparency

The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $91,200.00 - $121,400.00 USD per annum
